Many gardeners have been looking to add native plants to their gardens. Here is a list as of March 2026 prepared by Halton Region Master Gardeners. The criteria for being included on this list was that most plants for sale by these businesses are native to the Ontario region (indicated by green stars on linked map). When you shop for native plants it’s especially important to use the botanical (scientific) name so that you can be sure you are getting the species you want.
